Completing the Bug Report

Main fields

  • Software version — see section “System Settings” → “System Information” (12.6).

  • User Permit — see section “System Settings” → “System Information” (12.6), if the issue is related to ENC.

  • Serial No. — see section “System Settings” → “System Information” (12.6).

  • Reproducibility — indicate how often the defect is reproduced (always, sometimes, once, etc.).

  • Brief description — briefly describe the nature of the identified defect.

  • Detailed description — describe the identified defect in detail.

  • Steps to reproduce — describe in detail the sequence of user actions that lead to the reproducible defect.

Additional information

When filling out the “Additional Information” section, attach the following data:

  • Screenshots and/or video: If there is a discrepancy between the expected and actual results, screenshots and/or video must be attached. The file name must correspond to the sequential number of the step being performed. If a step has multiple screenshots/video, use the format <step_number>-<file_number>.png, for example: 1-1.png, 1-2.png, 2-1.png.

  • Data used: ENC, tracks, import/export files, recording (trace) of navigation data received at the port, etc.

  • Operation/crash logs: If available (export from section “System Settings” → “System Information” (12.6)).

Contact information

  • Date — date of completion.

  • Author — the submitter of the report.

  • Phone — author’s contact phone number (optional).

  • E-mail — author’s email address (required).

Submitting the Bug Report

Send the completed Bug Report form to the manufacturer of NSR ECDIS NES-3000 at the email address specified in the documentation or on the manufacturer’s website. Attach to the form:

  • Screenshots and/or video (if available)

  • Data used (ENC, tracks, files, etc.)

  • Operation/crash logs (export from section 12.6)

Correct and complete filling of the Bug Report form significantly speeds up the process of diagnosing and resolving defects.
