Notification Area

The Notification Area is designed to display important messages and notifications to the navigator about the system status, navigational events, and potential issues.

Notification Examples

The image shows examples of notifications:

• “Unread AIS messages exist” — there are unread AIS messages

• “There is no master in the network” — there is no master station in the network

Chart Viewing Date

If the properties of chart objects have a Chart viewing date that does not match the current date, or the selected date range does not match the current date, the message Display time conditional will be displayed in the window.

Additional Indicators

• A Non-official indicator is displayed if a chart from a manufacturer not registered with the IHO is used for navigation

• If cells were installed with SSE25 or SSE27 warnings, a corresponding message will appear

• Messages about overscaling (Overscaled x…) or the availability of larger scale ENCs
