The Routes section is the primary tool for planning, creating, and managing navigational routes in the NSR ECDIS NES-3000 system. The interface contains all necessary elements for working with routes at all stages of their lifecycle.

Tip
ECDIS allows displaying multiple routes on the map simultaneously. When a route is selected, the map automatically centers on the first waypoint of the selected route.
Route editing
To view detailed information about a route and make changes, switch to edit mode by pressing the Edit button
. In edit mode, all route data is presented in a table with the ability to modify parameters.

Calculate XTD |
Calculate minimum cross-track distance. Recommended after ENC updates and corrections, water level changes, or forming a barge-tow composition. |
Important
When a route is activated, ECDIS switches to track monitoring.
Note
All route changes are saved automatically. When changing critical parameters (waypoints, courses, speeds), it is recommended to re-run the route safety check.

Route workflow
Create a route:
Press the Create button

Plot waypoints on the map
Enter route leg parameters
Perform safety check:
Select the route in the list
Press Check route
Analyze the check results
Activate the route:
Select the checked route
Press Activate
Proceed to track monitoring
Warning
Only one route can be activated at a time. When a new route is activated, the previous one is automatically deactivated.
