Radar Mode Description

When the Radar Mode option is enabled, the RM off button will appear in the single-action functions menu.

Azimuth card linked to the heading sensor. Own vessel is always oriented relative to the azimuth card

Range Scale

Switches the range scales of the MIRAN 09 Radar.

Range scale switching:

  • mouse wheel rotation;

  • +/- buttons on the range scale

  • hardware buttons Plus and Minus

Warning

+ decreases the range scale, - increases the range scale.

Transmit

Radar transmission: on – Transmit on and off – Transmit off. The button physically controls Radar operation

ENC

ENC display: on – ENC on and off – ENC off. When ENC display is enabled, the scale is synchronized with the set range scale

RR

Fixed range rings: on – RNC on and off – RNC off. Enables/disables the display of fixed range rings. Range rings are displayed at equal intervals. Ring distance is recalculated depending on the set range scale

Rain

Precipitation clutter compensation (rain, snow, dense fog). Automatic adjustment can be enabled

Sea

Sea clutter compensation. Automatic adjustment can be enabled

Gain

Radar transceiver gain control

Auto adjustment

Enables automatic compensation for sea clutter and precipitation interference

Warning

The controls directly affect the control algorithms of the MIRAN 09 Radar transceiver.

The Radar Mode option includes a semi-automatic ARPA.

The ARPA implementation is not linked to the ARPA sensor connected to the ECS.
