Recording Radar Data

If necessary, the navigator can record radar data in real time. The ECS records:

  • video data;

  • antenna position;

  • heading;

  • position, course over ground (COG), speed over ground (SOG);

  • AIS.

Hint

Recorded data can be played back using specialized software from NEW SUNRISE CO., LTD.

Attention

Any recordings or data provided in court may be considered evidence if accepted by the court.

Hint

To save space on the storage medium, it is recommended to enable compression when recording data.

The recording file is created after the process starts.

Stop Recording

Stops the radar data recording process. Recording stops without confirmation.

Recording List

List of all recordings created by the navigator.

File Name

The file name is generated automatically. The user cannot rename the file.

Creation Date

Part of the file name — UTC date.

Creation Time

Part of the file name — UTC time.

Recording Size

Size of the recorded database. Updated in real time.

After stopping the recording, deletion and export of recording files are available.

Deleting a Recording

To delete a recording:

  • select the recording or recordings;

  • press Delete; RM_Write

  • confirm deletion in the dialog.

Exporting a Recording

To export a recording:

  • select the recording or recordings;

  • press Export;

  • select the storage medium;

  • confirm the export;

  • wait for the export to complete.
