Vessel Registration Data

The Registration Data section is designed for entering vessel information that will be transmitted to the AIS if it is connected and capable of receiving VSD and SSD messages.

Important

Vessel registration data must exactly match the data in the vessel’s documents. Incorrectly entered data may cause errors in the AIS system and violate international convention requirements.

Nine-digit individual number assigned to the vessel by the maritime mobile service

IMO (International Maritime Organization)

Unique seven-digit vessel identifier assigned by IMO. If an incorrect value is entered, the field border will be highlighted in red and the value will not be saved

Persons on Board

Number of persons on board the vessel at the time of departure

Nav. Status

Current navigational status of the vessel. Selection is only available from the predefined statuses established by the ITU-1379 standard from the drop-down list

Note

Navigational status and Vessel type comply with the current versions of ITU and IEC standards.

Procedure for filling in registration data

  1. Open vessel settings section:

    • Go to MenuSettings

    • Select the Ownship section

    • Open the Registration subsection

  2. Fill in the required fields:

    • Enter the vessel’s Call Sign

    • Enter the vessel’s Name

    • Enter the MMSI number (9 digits)

    • Enter the IMO number (7 digits)

  3. Fill in additional fields:

    • Enter the number of Persons on Board

    • Select the Navigational status from the drop-down list

    • Select the Vessel type from the drop-down list

  4. Save settings:

    • Press Apply to apply the changes

    • Verify that all fields are filled in correctly

Note

The MMSI and IMO fields undergo automatic validation against international standards. If incorrect values are entered, the system will display a warning and will not save the data.

Note

Navigational status, Vessel type, and the number of persons on board are variable data. Changes may be synchronized with the onboard AIS.
