With the Route Planning Library you can create and manage the base/storage of routes, edit routes, calculate passage parameters and solve route monitoring tasks such as calculating direction and time between route waypoints.
Route storage is a folder where all routes are stored, each route in its file. Format of route files is Navtor Route Format (json).
A route consists of waypoints and event marks. Parameters of the leg between two waypoints are stored in the end waypoint. So, each waypoint stores the following parameters: waypoint coordinates, name, turning radius, parameters of the incoming leg (speed, deviation corridor width, and leg geometry type: rhumb line or great circle). Event marks are defined by coordinates and a parameter specifying the moment when to notify the user that they have reached the event mark. It can be distance from the own vessel to the event mark or time before the own vessel reaches the event mark (to be more precise, it’s closest position to the event mark).
Below is a sample of a route:

You can also export and import routes with the following formats from and to the route storage: Navtor, NMEA RTE/WPL, Maris RTU and TXT, Jeppesen, CIRM.
The following route editing options are available:
When editing a route, you should create a separate workspace and put a copy of the route there. All editing operations should be made on the copy of the route. Modifications are accepted after they have been committed to the route storage.
You can calculate route passage parameters. For each waypoint, you can calculate the following parameters:
You can start monitoring mode for any route. You should constantly send the current position of the own vessel, its current speed and course to the route monitoring component.
The following sailing parameters to the nearest waypoint will be calculated:
